Forms and Brochures

OIT has developed or adopted forms and brochures to guide distance education instructors in order to:

  • promote quality in distance education at Stephen F. Austin State University
  • promote compliance with accepted practices set forth by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
  • promote standards set by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

OFF-CAMPUS FACE-TO-FACE – 400-499 Section Numbers
*Courses delivered by an SFA instructor at a location remote from the main campus.

INTERNET – 500-599 Section Numbers
*Courses that are delivered predominantly online with no more than three on-campus meetings.

INTERACTIVE VIDEO – 700-899 Section Numbers
*Courses that are delivered by Interactive Video to a group of students who are in a room that is not in the same physical location as the instructor.
