OIT has developed or adopted forms and brochures to guide distance education instructors in order to:

promote quality in distance education at Stephen F. Austin State University

promote compliance with accepted practices set forth by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

promote standards set by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

OFF-CAMPUS FACE-TO-FACE – 400-499 Section Numbers
*Courses delivered by an SFA instructor at a location remote from the main campus.

INTERNET – 500-599 Section Numbers
*Courses that are delivered predominantly online with no more than three on-campus meetings.

*Courses that are more than 50 percent online but may require several on-campus meetings.

INTERACTIVE VIDEO – 700-899 Section Numbers
*Courses that are delivered by Interactive Video to a group of students who are in a room that is not in the same physical location as the instructor.
