Faculty Development
Enhance Your Course With Online Components
The Office of Instructional Technology will help you learn to use myCourses (Blackboard Learning System) to enhance face-to-face or Interactive Video classes with online components.
Develop a Fully Online Course
The process to become a Certified Online Instructor begins with an introduction to the fundamentals of instructional technology. Following that series of faculty development, the instructor is provided instruction on how to utilize all components of myCourses (Blackboard Learning System). Faculty conclude their certification requirements by participating as students in an online course for approximately ten weeks. The primary outcomes of the course are empathy for the online student experience and the development of a learning module for the instructor's online course.
Delivery an Interactive Video (ITV) Course
Faculty responsible for delivering synchronous instruction to a remote location via Interactive Video are encourage to attend faculty development opportunities designed to acquaint them with the technology as well as teaching strategies that will engage students at both the local instructional site as well as the remote location.
